Shannon graduated from Indiana State University in 2021 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In 2022, she began courses with the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to study canine rehabilitation. In May of 2023, Shannon become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. She opened SSCR shortly after.

She has been working as a physical therapist in outpatient orthopedics for the last three years, and loves using the skills she has learned from the human PT world to help guide her treatments for her clients.

Outside of working as a human and dog PT, she enjoys running, baking, and spending time outdoors. She owns two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Lab Heeler mix, as well as two cats.
