FAQs

  • Canine rehabilitation is best described as physical therapy for dogs! Just like humans, dogs can have pain, decreased strength and mobility, abnormal movement patterns, and decreased functional activity tolerance. Our services are used to help improve pain, mobility, strength, and dysfunction.

  • Due to the mobile aspect of our business model, we are unable to offer these services. However, we would love to discuss your dog's symptoms and how land-based therapy can help.

  • While we are based out of Tacoma, we hold city licenses in many of the surrounding areas. Some cities also do not require licensing under an income threshold.

Current city licenses: Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Federal Way, Puyallup, Yelm, Olympia.

If we do not currently have a city license in your area, we will apply for one at the time of scheduling your initial evaluation.

  • We have a flat charge for the initial evaluation, then tiered charges for follow visits. Follow up visits are discounted when you buy in packages of 4 or 8 visits at a time. Please contact us for more information regarding our pricing.

  • The first 10 miles are included in the visit cost. Mileage beyond 10 miles incurs a fee per mile. Toll fees will also be added as appropriate.

  • Yes we do! While we don't handle insurance claims directly, we can provide you with the necessary documentation and detailed invoices you’ll need to submit to your insurance provider. Most pet insurance companies will reimburse you for our services once you’ve paid upfront. If you have any questions about the process or need help understanding how to navigate your policy, feel free to ask—we’re here to assist you!

  • While our specialty is in treating dogs, our therapist's very first patient was actually a paralyzed cat named Doodle! We would love to discuss your cat's symptoms and see if animal rehabilitation would be beneficial.

  • In most cases, yes! However, we will need to discuss your dog's behaviors in advance to ensure that it is safe for us to enter your home to treat your dog. A typical appointment may require a collaborative effort between the owner and our therapist to complete in this case. We may also suggest other safety measures such as a basket muzzle or consulting your veterinarian to discuss anxiolytic medication.

  • Currently we operate a mobile business model and do not have a physical business location that you can travel to.

  • We ask that you are present for at least the initial evaluation so we can do a thorough assessment, gather accurate subjective information, and ensure that the owner understands the plan of care. Beyond the first appointment, we are able to do mobile visits without the owner present - details will be discussed at the evaluation if this is of interest.
